What data we process
We only process data that you actively provide to us yourself. This website contains no analytics, advertising or tracking software, and uses no external services that follow your behaviour.
When you use the contact form or send us an email, we process:
- your name
- your email address
- the name of your company or organisation, if you provide it
- the subject and content of your message
Technical data and server logs
For technical and security reasons our hosting provider records limited server logs, including the visitor’s IP address, the address requested, the time and the browser type. This data is used to keep the website available and secure and to diagnose faults. It is not used to profile individual visitors.
Purposes and legal bases
We process your data for the following purposes, on the following legal bases under Article 6 GDPR:
- Answering your question or request — on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a)) or the performance of, or steps prior to, a contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
- Maintaining a business relationship and managing partnerships — performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
- Keeping the website secure and available — our legitimate interest in providing a secure service (Article 6(1)(f)).
- Complying with legal obligations, for instance in tax matters — legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).
Retention periods
We do not keep your data longer than is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
- Contact enquiries that do not lead to a partnership: for no more than twelve months after the last contact.
- Business correspondence within an active partnership: for the duration of the partnership and thereafter for as long as is reasonably necessary for evidential or warranty purposes.
- Records subject to a statutory retention obligation: for the statutory period, in the Netherlands generally seven years.
- Server logs: short-term, in accordance with our hosting provider’s policy.
Sharing with third parties
We do not sell your data and do not provide it to third parties for commercial purposes.
We do engage service providers that process data on our behalf, such as our hosting provider and our email provider. We conclude data processing agreements with these parties, setting out that they process your data solely on our instructions and secure it appropriately.
Disclosure to other parties takes place only where we are legally obliged to do so, for example at the request of a competent authority.
Transfers outside the European Economic Area
We aim to process data within the European Economic Area. Where a service provider engaged by us processes data outside the EEA, this takes place solely on the basis of a valid transfer mechanism under Chapter V GDPR, such as an adequacy decision of the European Commission or the standard contractual clauses.
Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss and unlawful processing. This website is served exclusively over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to correspondence is limited to staff who need it for their work.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- request access to the personal data we process about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected or completed;
- have your data erased where there are grounds to do so;
- have the processing restricted;
- object to processing based on a legitimate interest;
- receive your data in a commonly used format or have it transferred;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before that withdrawal.
Making a request
You can submit a request using the contact details at the end of this policy. We respond within one month. To prevent misuse we may ask you to identify yourself, requesting no more information than is necessary for that purpose.
Complaints
If you believe we are not handling your data with due care, we would like to hear from you first. You also always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens), or with the supervisory authority in your own country of residence.
Changes
We may amend this privacy policy where our services or the law give cause to do so. The current version is always available on this page, together with the date of the last amendment.
